Wendy Volhard knows - her journey into canine nutrition began in 1973, when her 6 year old Landseer Newfoundland, Heidi, was diagnosed with kidney degeneration and given just a few months to live. Wendy began to feed Heidi a completely natural, homemade food and carefully monitored her kidney function through annual blood tests. Heidi never looked back and lived to the ripe old age of 12.
Since then, Wendy has devoted herself to the continued study of canine nutrition and has become one of the leading authorities in the field.
A Nutrition Frequently Asked Question database has been compiled to help you start your new journey in poper dog feeding.
